This is a reminder to all Connecticut ARS members: Please fill out your Spring Banquet Reservation Form ASAP, and return it to Tom Flanigan no later than April 16th for our Annual Dinner Banquet and Spring Plant Auction at The Pond House Cafe in Elizabeth Park on Friday, April 23, 2010.
Extra Meeting Scheduled for June 21st
There will be extra CT ARS meeting on Monday, June 21st at the CT Agricultural Experiment Station.
We will hear Clarence Towe speak on American Azaleas. Clarence is an expert on azaleas, and he recently authored a book titled "American Azaleas: A Closer Look" published by Timber Press. With slides, Clarence will present and discuss the new tetraploid azalea species, recent advances in genetics, and tips on hybridizing and selecting new cultivars. Clarence's azalea book will be available for purchase and signing at the meeting. Hopefully, some of his azalea selections will be available for purchase as well.
